Business focus: Port Macquarie Panthers’ Janette Hyde.COMMUNITY relations manager Janette Hyde realised just how much people appreciated her efforts when she was crowned 2008 Port Macquarie News Employee of the Year in the judged category.
The Port Macquarie Panthers employee said winning the award was a humbling, unexpected honour.
“People would come up and say, ‘We are so thrilled for you’ … and it’s still happening,” the 61-year-old said.
Now it’s time for this year’s crop of nominees to be part of the excitement.
Prizes totalling $11,840 are up for grabs.
The nomination form appears for the last time in today’s paper.
Nominations must be received by close of business on Monday.
The winners will be announced during the
presentation night on May 29.
